Use of hand & power tools

Purpose

Norwegian regulations require employers to ensure documented training for all work equipment that may pose a hazard during use, as stated in the “Regulation on the Performance of Work” §10-2. This course provides a practical introduction to the safe use of hazardous handheld power tools such as angle grinders, chop saws, powder-actuated tools and nail guns. Participants learn about risk factors, safety procedures, correct operation and required personal protective equipment. Once the course is completed and the test is passed, the course certificate can be downloaded immediately.

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with increased knowledge and awareness of safe use of hazardous small tools, helping to prevent workplace injuries and accidents.

Target Group

The course is designed for individuals who use hazardous handheld power tools such as angle grinders, chop saws, powder-actuated tools, nail guns and similar equipment.

Practical Information

The course can be completed on a PC, smartphone or tablet with internet access. It consists of modules with film, text and images. A final test must be passed to receive the course certificate.

The course costs 880 NOK excluding VAT. The course certificate is included.
