Safe use of personnel lifts

The Norwegian authorities require that employees who use lifts (personnel lifts) must be able to document training in operation of the lift. The employer is responsible for ensuring that the employees have the necessary training. (“Regulations on the execution of work” § 10-2 Requirements for documented safety training when using work equipment.)

Practical information

The course can be viewed on a PC, smartphone or tablet as long as the device is connected to the internet. After completing the course, you must pass a test in order to be issued a course certificate. It is structured in modules with film, text and images. Note that in addition to the theoretical training, practical training must also be documented. The form for documentation of practice can be downloaded inside the course.
