One way to be prepared is by receiving training in the basic principles of first aid. Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, regardless of age and without warning. By receiving training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of a defibrillator (first aid defibrillator), the chances of survival can be increased by more than 50%.
